A webinar is being hosted by Goodlord to explore how agents can get ahead of the Renters (Reform) Bill.

On Tuesday 28th November at 10am, Laura Tweedy, barrister at Gatehouse Chambers, and Sean Hooker, head of redress at the Property Redress Scheme, will join Goodlord’s managing director of insurance, Oli Sherlock, for the session,

Oli Sherlock, managing director of insurance, Goodlord, said: “With the Bill now in the Committee stages and multiple amendments already tabled, we are now at a crucial junction.

“These reforms are wide-ranging and could be disruptive to businesses. However, there are golden opportunities that savvy agents can seize to turn this into an opportunity to grow and unlock new revenue streams.

“We hope this webinar shines a light on those opportunities and how to capitalise on them.”

The panel will focus on supply and demand pressures, outcomes from the Second Reading, such as changes to Section 21 and the courts process, and the implications of the Committee Stage, such as introducing a Decent Homes Standard to the private rented sector.

The discussion will also dive into how agents can take advantage of an uncertain market, whilst remaining compliant, what further changes to expect from the political calendar and a possible General Election, as well as how they can support and reassure their existing landlords through the changes.
